A Look Back At The Best Independent Luxury Brands of 2017
When I started Prima Darling one of my objectives was to promote under the radar, emerging or independent luxury brands. I know how hard it is for small companies to get the attention they deserve in a crowded field while up against the titans of the industry. Many of the new brands take a more compassionate approach to business considering the rights of workers and impact to the environment, which is something we all must consider as the strains on our earth and its inhabitants becomes greater. When I introduced my Year of Designer Free Living it forced me to seek out independent luxury brands. Not to say I don’t continue to love the big design houses, where an abundance of talent and resources result in amazing product. My hope is to strike a balance between the two resulting in a more personalized wardrobe and individual style. Here is a recap of my favorite independent luxury brands covered in 2017.
