Sweater Fix

One of my favorite things about fall is pulling on my cashmere sweaters again. I love sweaters and live in them throughout the fall and winter. Though I have a huge assortment of knits, it seems I wear the same five or six all season. The right proportion and fit as it relates to the bottoms of the season are what make the favored knits indispensible. This fall I’m feeling for a more relaxed boxy fit that hits at about the hipbone, to work over longer skirts and more relaxed cropped pants. I also need a generous tunic and a long cardigan that is of a medium weight to comfortably be worn over layers.  A boldly striped sweater is on my wish list as well.

There’s an abundance of great knits out there at all price ranges. If a splurge sweater is not for you this season there are great reasonably priced knits, with lots of style and quality yarns, from direct to consumer brands like Everlane, Cos and Ayr. Take a look and get your own knit house in order before it gets any colder. Remember the right sweaters are the glue that holds your fall wardrobe together.
