Often it’s the details that make the outfit, the perfect shoe that adds a dash of color, the earring or sunglasses that give the outfit attitude. With the promise of a new season in the air, it’s the perfect time to strategize your spring accessories. Here’s what I’m leaning towards…
Cat eye sunglasses are everywhere, so I think it’s important to take them to the next level as in these from Kate Young. The ivory at the top rim only gives them a new slant.
The wide belt from APC reminds me of the D belt in the fall Dior show. I love the look of a wide belt cinching a full, midi length skirt. It’s a flattering silhouette on many people and a great spring accessory that will take you into fall.
The statement earring is still very much in play, these from Lizzie Fortunato I see with minimal day looks like cotton shirts and tees but they would also work great with summer dresses or caftans.
I’m obsessed with these Balenciaga kitten heel sling-backs. The shape is edgy and the color is the perfect accent to just about everything from black to navy, white or khaki. This shoe instantly elevates even your most basic-basics.
To illustrate my point here are basics I would love to mix with the above-mentioned spring accessories. In fact, imagine putting all seven items together, that’s what I’m talking about!
And to top it all off why not add a head scarf as discussed in Friday’s post. I feel like the Ina Garten of outfits; simple, quality ingredients, with just the right amount of seasoning makes for the perfect look.
