The weather in New York is decidedly chilly and coats are on my mind. In Tuesday’s post I spoke about my search for the perfect camel coat. Today I’m wishing for the exact coat Louise Brooks was photographed in nearly ninety years ago. The teddy bear coat has made a comeback the last few winters but I have yet to see one as perfect as this. The thickness of the shearling, the proportion of the body, the spacing of the buttons and most of all the cut of the collar is perfection. A modern classic if ever there was one. Now if only I could find it…
