With gender and sexuality so fluid these days maybe we should dispense with separate men and women’s collections all together in favor of one non-gender specific collection for all. Gucci is already half way there and the most progressive houses are already showing the two together. I know it would be a logistical sizing nightmare but just sayin. I’m trying to make a case for this after looking back at “Tom Ford’s Fall’ 16” collection. I realized there were as many men’s styles as women’s that I would love to own.

Case in point the first men’s look of the show. A well cut velvet blazer in that magnificent shade of amber with an ocher cashmere sweater is just what I need to get me out of neutrals. Above is my sketch of how I see it. The pant would be high waisted with a flat front, slimmish at the thighs then flaring down to the hem. This is how I would style it…

It would quickly become my go to outfit. Here’s what else I would love to borrow from the boys..

Just a thought…
