Summer is most definitely winding down. The days are noticeably shorter and Labor Day is just around the corner. The good news is early fall weather is great dressing weather. Cashmere and knits of all kinds can come back into play but it’s still warm enough for open toe shoes with no worries about hose. The down side is the weather can be unpredictable, with chilly mornings and warm afternoons. Transition clothes need to be flexible, that’s why I love silk for transition. Silk is adaptable to temperature swings and looks right with everything from sandals to boots. With that in mind I scouted 3 transition dresses that can be worn now and with a change of shoe and the addition of knits can be worn right into winter. All are midi length, the only length that matters to me for fall.
