All I crave right now are loose easy pieces in luxurious fabrics like cashmere and silk. The past fashion month confirmed that it’s all about ease. If I could live my life in For Restless Sleepers and The Row I would be perfectly content but I have to be a bit more resourceful. Here are my inspiration shots to set the mood and in the coming weeks I’ll post my finds.
I was so pleased that one of my favorite contemporary authors, Kazuo Ishiguro, is this year’s recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature. His books have a dream like quality to them, the world he creates in his stories surround you and sink into your skin. I think I’ll celebrate by revisiting some of his earlier works, A Pale View of Hills and An Artist of the Floating World. I loved Never Let Me Go, the way he unfolds the story slowly is mesmerizing. Congratulations and well deserved!
