Pre Fall 2017 presentations are beginning to trickle in. Last week we looked at the wonderful Bottega Veneta collection, which set the bar high. Today I like Altuzarra for his tailored pieces. Every season he offers at least one knock out pantsuit (yes I still have pantsuits on my mind), but my favorite look was the sequined skirt and top shown with boots (pictured above). It’s a fresh take on evening that captures the relaxed mood we’re in without fading into the background.
At TSE I loved the offbeat golden-olive color of the double face vest and cropped pant over the palest pink cashmere knit tunic. Another noteworthy look was the pale clay double face vest over a sleeveless rib knit dress. Soft muted tones, inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe paintings, were easy on the eyes and a nice way to transition to color. I’m betting the long vests and the easy belted cardigan will be must have pieces for next fall.
