I was mistaken in my last post when I said Prada had yet to show their pre-fall. They presented a smattering of women’s with the Prada men’s show on the 15th. The women’s collection borrowed liberally from the men’s, with leather trimmed corduroy blazers and the 70s staple, a cognac leather blazer. As with all Prada offerings, the devil is in the details. Pocket interest, fur and studs elevated the nostalgic mood of the pieces and made them covetable. The styling was a tad too school-marmish for my taste but break it down and it’s clear there were great pieces just begging to be paired with a simple slim turtleneck and great boots.
