Guillaume Henry’s first collection for Nina Ricci was nearly two years ago for Fall ’15. After a successful stint at Carven, Henry has quietly churned out eight collections at Nina Ricci. For his Pre Fall ’17 collection I get the feeling he feels more comfortable in his current role and it shows in the solid collection he presented on Friday. Looking back at his earlier collections for the house it becomes clear that he was ahead of the curve on some of the trends that are ubiquitous now, like velvet and exposed shoulders.
