For over four decades Meryl Streep has given us moving portrayals of a wide variety of women. She delves deep into her characters, creating a lasting impression in our collective psyches. I’m thankful to her for all the moving and fearless performances she’s given us over the years. I admire her for keeping her private life private and rising above the fray of what celebrity has become.
Her heartfelt speech given on Sunday night at the Golden Globes so eloquently articulated what many of us feel. She reminded me that bitterness will not get us through the next four years but empathy and protecting what is dear to us will. Thank you Ms. Streep.
