Change at Chloe

Chloe is a house with a fully formed and commercially successful image of flou femininity with a dash of 70’s bohemian. The look suited the house and it’s heritage and no one understood this better than Clare Waight Keller, the creative director for the past six years. I was surprised to learn the fall collection, showing on March 2nd will be Waight Keller’s last for the house. I loved what she did at Chloe and wish her well in future endeavors which I’m hoping will include a line in her own name.

For pre fall the tailored coats and bombers mixed with knit captured the spirit many women are feeling today with the newly energized women’s movement. Liberated and free spirited was the mood with a hint of nostalgia for the 70’s, which makes sense given the current reality. I hope Waight Keller is not on the sidelines too long, I always look forward to her contribution.
