Oversized pants to the extreme showed up on many a Resort ’17 collection. The more relaxed silhouette is very appealing to me. Though it looks great on a six-foot model I know the average height person could end up looking like a hobbit. So what to do when there is an undeniable move towards oversized pants and like me you don’t have the height to pull it off? Modify and wear the highest heels you can bear. I also question the trend to have the pants cut so long they drag on the ground. How impractical is that? Unless you have a driver that carries you to and from only carpeted places they’ll be ruined in one wearing. Not to mention the hazard of tying to walk with the requisite super high heels hidden under the folds. Here some inspiration photos from Resort ending with a fantastic denim pant from Martin Grant that could be the reality.
The high flat waist elongates the leg and the length is perfect. This is a big pant I can get behind!
