You can never have enough good books. I love each and every one of my art and design books and refer to them often. Over time they become like old friends that wait patiently for you on the table or shelf, always ready to welcome you back into their world. You can’t get that from the Internet and they’re not filled with rabbit holes to trip into. Just total immersion into beautifully curated worlds to lose oneself in.

Choosing a good book for a friend with whom you share similar interest is one of the least stressful forms of shopping I can think of. If you find yourself buying two copies, one as a gift and one for yourself you know you have a winner. Here’s my list of good books I would love to find under my own tree.

Fashion
Dior Prima Darling
In celebration of the seventieth anniversary of the House of Dior, this book is the first of a series covering the years 1947 to 1957, the early years of the house while under M Dior.
Calvin Klein Prima Darling
Written and compiled by Calvin Klein himself. This self curated retrospective includes many of the provocative ad campaigns that made Klein famous. Having worked for Klein, I’m happy to take a look back. A dear friend already sent it to me and it will be the first present under the tree. Tree forthcoming.
