I like to frequently check in with Vogue.it to get the Italian perspective on fashion. Though they’re not immune to the unnatural fascination of all things Kardashian and the like, they give it less real estate. The void is pleasantly filled with art, culture and a more experimental approach to documenting fashion. Currently on the site is a slide show of the best of Photo Vogue 2016. For me the best photography, fashion or otherwise, conveys a mood and gives the viewer a glimpse into another world. I’m not a big fan of ugly-pretty and shockingly realistic photos, though that’s in fashion now, I want beauty and an invitation to dream. Here are some of my favorites that do just that.
